COALITION watch designed by Denissov Company specifically for the 60th anniversary of the Victory won over fascist Germany in the Second World War. The price of this Victory is a heroism going beyond the borders of peaceful Philistine comprehension, a heroism shown by usual citizens in the wartime years.
COALITION series are devoted to the memory of combat deeds of millions of our grandparents.
The historical aspect is reflected in the watch via retro style of the case, classical and solemn design of the dial, military-style leather strap. Keeping in mind that the Victory over fascist Germany was won by the people of the four countries, we have created the models using the symbols of these countries: Soviet Union, Great Britain, France, and USA. At the same time, the main task that we have set in the process of designing the watch was creation of a modern time-measuring tool, where the theme would not dominate, but would instead be harmoniously combined with functionality.
The case of the watch is made of stainless steel, and its construction is extremely interesting. The case ring has a unique space configuration, attaching unrepeatable looks to the watch; a combination of outstanding polished edges and matt deep surfaces brings harmony of visual and tactile perception.
The back cover is also worth attention, since it is binary. The first opening backcover carries bas-reliefs portraying the political figures who had played a primary role during the Second World War: I.V.Stalin, W.Churchill, C.de-Gaulle, and F.Roosevelt. The portraits created by an artist-sculptor raise the COALITION watch to a state-of-an-art condition. The inner backcover is made from glass, thus allowing to observe the movement – one of the best Russian chronographs “Poljot” – of the 3133 caliber.
Retro-puds of the strap mount with relief-shape figures “1945” and “2005” are made separately. Movable details of the puds and specially-designed strap construction allow massive watches to fit comfortably and fixedly, solidly covering the hand.
Metallized dials with guilloched surface carry toreutic emblems and maps of the member countries of anti-fascist coalition. Distinct scales, legible marks – an austere, laconic design of the dials and hands is simultaneously functional and decorative. When designing the COALITION watch, we have attempted to create a discreet solemn look escaping from the formal pomposity of the Soviet era, and at the same time guided by stylistics of the 40s of the 20th century.
The COALITION, being collection-type watches, are manufactured in limited series of 500 pieces. When choosing a model, based upon your individual life perception, you may personalize it even more by placing initials or donative inscription on the inner surface of the upper cover. Also excellent are the looks of all four models in a special box for 4 positions.
