From the press release:
On 12 April 1961, Yuri Gagarin took his bespoke navigator's (Sturmanskie) watch on a space flight. The watch worked perfectly in zero gravity conditions.
Later this legendary watch was given to the factory museum.
Then, in 1963 the first woman cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova took the watch to the space.
Since 1961, the Shturmanskie watch has been the official watch of Soviet and Russian cosmonauts, which repeatedly helped them out in difficult situations by withstanding severe tests in zero gravity conditions, the effects of magnetic fields, strong overloads, vibrations and temperatures.
Today, looking at this model, we appreciate the historical and aesthetic value of the design of these models, so, by replicating it in new proportions, we have preserved the most distinctive details of the design as much as possible out of respect for the original.
